Getting started
- Connect your league from the dashboard — Yahoo (one click), Fantrax, or a manual CSV of your rosters + settings.
- zROTO imports every team and computes values for the whole player pool on your scoring. Give the first run a minute.
- Open This week for the action board, or jump to the Trade finder, Free agents, or the Standings battle map.
What the numbers mean
Value (VOR)
Value Over Replacement: a player's total z-score minus a replacement-level player's, so hitters and pitchers compare on one scale. It's not the simple sum of the category z-scores — rate stats (AVG/ERA/WHIP) are weighted by playing time, and replacement level is subtracted.
Season / Last 30 / Last 7 / Projected / Rest of season
The same value on different timeframes. Projected is the full-season line; Rest of seasonis what's left to come — the right lens for in-season add/drop and trades.
Dynasty value
A discounted, multi-year projection: each future season is aged along a curve, ramped by an arrival/decline playing-time arc, and risk-weighted — then summed and discounted back to today. The card shows the value-over-time curve behind it.
Trade finder modes
Balanced finds value-fair deals that fill a category need. Win now spends prospects/youth to gain current value. Rebuild ships win-now vets for dynasty upside. Every suggestion only shows trades the other team has a real reason to accept.
Why is a hot AAA player's value low?
Minor-league lines are translated to an MLB equivalent and gated by call-up probability, so a Triple-A masher doesn't out-rank a useful big-leaguer on this season's value. His upside shows in dynasty value instead.
Caveats
Prospect value is stat-based (no scouting grades). Quality starts are estimated (not in the MLB season totals). Projections are transparent and backtested, but not a claim to beat ZiPS/Steamer.
